Philosophy
Hands-on healthcare doesn't need to be expensive! Nor does it need
to be complicated.
We are pleased
to work with your other healthcare providers. All approaches to care offer potential benefits, and each has its limitations.
Chiropractic is no different. We are pleased to accept and offer those referrals indicated by the patient's history and condition.
It is
essential that both patient and doctor are working for the same objective. Chiropractic healthcare has only one goal. It is
essential that each patient understands both the objective and the methods that will be used.
Areas of tension create havoc with the nervous system. The vertebral
subluxation is a misalignment of one or more of the movable segments of the spine (vertebrae) which causes alterations of
nerve function, resulting in a lessening of the body's innate ability to express its maximum health potential (symptoms, dis-ease).
Similarly, misalignments of extremity articulations (joints) may occur creating both local and reflexive stress to the nervous
system, resulting in symptoms and dysfunction.
Oftentimes symptoms are associated with the resulting
stress or tensions involved with the nervous system. Just as often, adaptive or compensating changes made by the body (poor
posture, tight muscles, head tilt, elevated shoulder, etc) will quite often lead to a reduction or lack of symptoms without
the underlying subluxation having been corrected. This may lead to chronic, occasionally recurring symptoms and progressively
worsening 'silent' conditions to develop (osteoarthritic, degenerative changes).
Adjustments
are necessary to correct those subluxations. Spinal or extremity adjustments are the specific
application of forces to facilitate the body's correction of the subluxation. In our experience the use of gentle and specific
manipulation of the joints involved is most often the fastest and most effective method of reducing the stress on those subluxated
articulations.
Release the stress, correct the
cause, inhibit the degenerative process, eliminate the symptoms. Other non-force techniques,
physical therapies, massage, exercise and nutritional support may also be recommended where indicated.
We do not offer to diagnose or treat any disease. We specifically
offer to diagnose vertebral neuromusculoskeletal segmental dysfunction (spinal or extremity stress, or subluxation).
No-Charge, No-Obligation Consultation
Referrals to our clinic are never necessary. We are pleased to meet
with you for a no-charge, no-obligation consultation to understand your medical history and determine if chiropractic care
may contribute to improvement of your health and well-being. If during your evaluation and care there is indication that other
than chiropractic care is in order, we shall discuss that with you and make the appropriate referral.
